DP Delft Hand Painted Polychrome Tulip Vase Waisted Cylindrical 13cm

£32.00Price
Quantity

A hand-painted polychrome vase by DP Delft, 13cm tall, in a waisted cylindrical form that flares slightly at the top. The decoration covers the full body — stylised tulip buds in terracotta pink and dark blue with green foliage, arranged in vertical registers separated by wavy cobalt blue lines, with amber and terracotta banding at the shoulder and base and a fine blue border line at the rim. The palette is warm and distinctive: pink, terracotta, green, and cobalt on a white ground, far removed from the more familiar blue and white of standard Delft production. Marked to the base DP Delft, number 62. DP Delft is a 20th century Dutch manufacturer producing hand-painted pieces in the traditional Delft style. This polychrome colourway is less common and more visually striking than the standard blue and white range, and the waisted cylindrical form is an unusual one for the maker. Good vintage condition, no chips or damage. Height: 13cm. Estimated date: Mid-to-late 20th century.
