Kevin Warren Studio Pottery Tulip Jug Hand Painted Slipware Signed 11.5cm

A charming handmade studio pottery jug by British potter Kevin Warren, decorated with a repeating blue tulip and green leaf design. Hand-thrown in red earthenware, with the lower section left exposed and the upper body finished in a warm cream glaze. A hand-painted cobalt blue band runs around the neck, with individually painted blue and green tulips around the rounded body. The slightly irregular profile, softly shaped pouring lip and visible throwing marks give the jug a lovely handmade character. The base carries Kevin Warren’s impressed pottery mark. A particularly nice small example of Warren’s functional studio pottery, equally suited to use as a small jug or displayed with a few stems.
